Fellowship

The mission of the Fellowship Ministry team is to strengthen the faith of the church family by using available resources and activities to provide nurture opportunities for large and small fellowship gatherings.

The Fellowship Ministry team leads our Wednesday night programs which run from September through June. Each Wednesday night, a dedicated team and wonderful kitchen staff offers a delicious dinner and a wide range of program opportunities. The schedule is dynamic but usually includes a worship service the first Wednesday of each month. The second Wednesday is reserved for guest speakers and special presentations. On the third Wednesday of each month we meet in various small groups. There is also an opportunity on this Wednesday night to meet with the minister for an informal discussion on a wide variety of topics. The program for the fourth Wednesday of each month is reserved for intergenerational and season-appropriate workshops or other guest speakers.

 A prayer room is available to those who would like to spend some quiet time in prayer.
Members of the congregation are also available to pray with those who request it.

Throughout the year the members of our Fellowship Ministry team host church-wide meals. Our Easter potluck dinner after the 11 AM worship service has become a favorite of the Shades Valley family. The church provides the meat and drinks and the congregation fills in the rest. Our 4th of July picnic and other seasonal gatherings
are always highly anticipated and well attended.

The Fellowship Ministry also coordinates our weekly "coffee time" in the Fellowship Hall each Sunday morning from 10:30 - 10:50 AM. This gives our church family an opportunity to "meet, greet, and eat" between Sunday school and church.
