DVD Homebound Ministry

 In December 2010 Shades Valley began filming worship services and special services as a ministry to our homebound members.  Each week a DVD of Sunday’s 11:00 a.m. service is delivered to the member, providing the additional contact of a visit.  Delivery is also available to members who are temporarily homebound due to surgery and extended recovery, short-term illness, or for other reasons.

 A DVD player is provided and installed by the church for members who do not already have a player.

 DVD recordings are available to any member who requests one, as well, especially for baptisms, children’s programs, special Christmas services, ordination and installation of elders, guest members, or simply if a member or visitor was uplifted by the service and would like to see and hear it again.

 Thanks to this ministry, SVPC is able to post a full video of each service on the website’s home page.

 Since inception, the DVD Ministry Team has filmed 62 ( and counting upward) church services and three weddings.  Seventeen members participate in the Homebound Ministry through delivery and production.  All who are interested in this ministry are welcomed and invited to participate.
