Shades Valley's Fellowship Ministry is strong and supportive of many programs both within our church walls and outside. Some of our fellowship events include Lenten Services, Fall Festival, Teacher/Leader Appreciation Dinner, Children's Easter Egg Hunt, Senior Adult Sunday, Vacation Bible School and a July 4th Barbecue.
Presbyterian Men's Ministry: Our men's monthly breakfast and Bible study is a monthly highlight. Meeting the last Friday of each month beginning at 7 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. The men enjoy delicious food and fellowship.
Presbyterian Women's Ministry: One of the strongest ministries of the church is that of the Presbyterian Women. The women's circles meet on a monthly basis. There are two gatherings/general meetings each year. All circles are invited to these two gatherings. Some of these circles meet at the church, others meet in homes. For those meeting at the church, childcare is provided upon request.
Senior Adult Ministry (SAM): Some church members have been known to say that this is the most energetic group within our church family! The SAMs are active in all areas of church life, from sponsoring programs focused on issues important to Seniors to entertaining trips and travel promoting fellowship and continued learning opportunities, from providing transportation for homebound members to participate in intergenerational activities with our children and youth. Shades Valley Presbyterian Church values the wisdom and guidance offered by these Senior Adult members as they continue to inspire all with their model of Christian living and giving.
St. Phillips Society: One of the major strengths of our church family is the caring atmosphere fostered by the members for each other. Led by the St. Philip's Society, who visits prospective and new members, our congregations seeks to minister to all who are in need.
